Sounds like you just dont have enough experience with the game. That on any of the multi hit Arcana gives you decent heals in rooms where you're likely to get hit and decent heals in rooms you can clear easily. Also if you get a Crimson Clover and Puffy Parka together you have a great offensive defensive combo.Īs for it healing 1, add a messy Prescription to it and it becomes 2. This is before all of the rest of the Crit relics. With all of the crit items in the game you would have over 100% crit chance easily.Īwe Robe + Dark Katana + Analytical Monocle = 60% crit chance for melee attacks.Īdd Crimson Clover and you have 60% crit for all Arcana and 180% melee. I was open to you until i Got to this part of your argument. As it is right now, the game is basically Binding of Isaac, but instead of each upgrade being impactful to your run, your giving a dozens of options, but they basically do nothing, even when you have like 10 of them. I wish it was more like the tutorial was: a series of well thought out dungeons that were randomly cobbled together, but with a story progression and more of an RPG system in mind. Like, I could equip Resist Ice Relic, but why would I, when I could just increase my Health or overall Defense? Even when you do, most of the items and Aracana are cool, but really pointless. My runs are like 20 minutes long, and I only get like 80 Gems per run, so I don't really get to unlock much with each attempt. Health orbs should be more common (and the girl scout cookie box doesn't really help there, like it's supposed to). Like Vampire Glasses, healing you when you critical, but even if you have all the items for critical, it doesn't happen that often, and only heals you for 1 health when it does. I rarely make it as far as the Third Boss, but EVERYTIME I get there, I only have like 200 health, and because their patterns are basically just "cover the screen with crap" and I rarely get there with random Bosses, I never have a chance practice surviving them. My problem is the lack of ways to recover. and I've beaten the lich on enter the gungeon without getting hit! Originally posted by planescaped:I find the screen way too busy and near impossible to not get hit. yeah he would hit you the first few times, but then you would have to learn his attack patterns and try to avoid them anyways. I feel that have some unpredictable attacks would be nice. they tell you where the attack will be a second before. i think the issue is that pretty much every single attack he has has a warning. I beat him the very first time i saw him. The final boss felt so much easier than the 3rd boss. maybe you could just turn that patch into a difficulty option for the people who would like it a bit harder?Įdit: while i am on the subject of difficulty I would like to talk about the final boss as well (spoilers ahead obviously). i saw that there was a patch added at some point nerfing almost everything, but it was removed almost immediatly after people complained, but that patch seems so appealing to me. its fun for me that you need to do many runs and collect stuff to be able to beat it. I was still wondering if there would be a possibility to have difficulty options? i LOVE grinding in roguelikes. My issue with that is that if all ennemies are as tough as stage 3, then you lose a sense of progression. I know i can equip the legend relic thingy for extra difficulty, and I will do so for sure. There is SO much content to gather, and I would have loved to be able to do so, but my motivation took a big hit there. or that after the chaos boss I would get a prompt being like: haha this is a joke, that was the intro. i honestly thought when i was the progressions map of 3 boss then one last room, that this was the first part to something. It looked so awesome! I was filled with the urge to grind to game, getting better arcanas, cloaks, starting relics and all. I got this game yesterday, and I was thrilled.
